Tell us the device (iPhone or iPad, and which model if you know it), the iOS version, and what you did just before the problem appeared. If a specific document behaved oddly, describe the shape of it: a scan or a text PDF, one page or twenty, German or English. Please do not email us the document itself: we cannot help with a file that still contains your data, and we would rather not receive it.

That is the app doing its job. After it rewrites a page it reads the result back and looks for anything that still resembles a person, an organisation or an address. When it finds something it cannot account for, it stops instead of handing you a file that looks finished. Tap the highlighted spot, confirm what it is, and the document completes. If a page is held back and the highlighted passage is plainly not personal data, that is worth reporting.

Report it. A value that was never detected is the failure mode we care about most, and it is the one that is hardest for us to find on our own. Describe the kind of value and the way it was written on the page: a surname without a salutation, a company in block capitals, a handwritten line, an unusual number format. That description is enough for us to reproduce it; the file is not needed.

Stand-ins are chosen to be plausible, not to be pretty. They keep the class of the original: a company stays a company, a German street stays a German street, a reference number keeps its prefix so the document is still filed under the right heading. If a replacement broke the layout or overflowed a field, tell us the font and the kind of field, because that combination is what we test against.

Everything the app remembers about which value became which stand-in lives in the vault, on your device, and the vault screen lists it. You can delete a single identity or empty the whole thing. Emptying it does not damage documents you already saved; it only means the next document about the same person gets a new stand-in.

An account is optional and only carries the counters, the achievements and the ranking. If a sign-in link does not arrive, check the junk folder first, then write to us: some mail scanners open one-time links before you do, which uses them up. If you already had an account with TGDC Capture under the same address, signing in works with that address; the apps keep their data apart.

Email us from the address you signed up with and we delete the profile, the achievements, the documents you chose to share and the sign-in record. No reason required, no retention argument.
